Moments From the Day
Last Sunday we hosted our first ever taiyaki & mahjong popup in Wellington! 🎏
A huge thank you to @riichi.wlg for joining us to make this happen and to everyone who came along, whether you were there to give mahjong a go or to grab a taiyaki (or both!).
I was thinking about how to kick off our first popup of the year, and this collab idea magically fell into place. I love how things just work out when they’re meant to be. Maybe a combo that's not even seen in Japan?
Every event makes us feel so lucky to be able to celebrate and connect through the culture, food, and art we share.
I loved seeing strangers becoming friends over a game of riichi mahjong, and it gave us the chance to actually meet and chat with so many more of you throughout the day too.
You guys also cleared out so many of the tanuki & co goods so I’ll have to make more! In the meantime, you can still shop what’s left on our website for shipping or pickup.
